Which cookies True Food sets, what they are for and how to change your choice.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser so it can recognise the browser on the next request. Without cookies the cart would forget its products on every click and the sign-in would have to be repeated on every page. We group cookies into four categories: necessary, preferences, analytics and advertising. The necessary ones always work; the rest only after your consent.
2. Necessary cookies
_market_kaufer_session - the browser session: a guest cart, a pack in progress and the protection of forms against request forgery. It lives until the browser is closed. session_token - the sign-in: a signed session identifier, a permanent cookie, removed when you sign out. cookie_consent - your choice in the settings window: the version of the cookie set, the date of the choice and the permitted categories, kept for six months. These cookies are what makes the shop work, so they cannot be switched off: without them you can neither put a product in the cart nor place an order.
3. Preferences
locale - the language you picked in the switcher, kept for a year. It lets an address without a language open in your language. With the category off, the language stays only in the page address, and on your next visit the site works it out from your browser settings again.
4. Analytics
We measure the funnel ourselves, without Google Analytics or any other external counter: the server records events - catalog opened, product opened, added to cart, checkout started, order placed, order paid - and ties them to the session identifier from the _market_kaufer_session cookie. They show us the step where people leave, and we fix that step. The data is anonymous, it is not passed to third parties and it is not used for advertising. Without consent to analytics no events are recorded at all.
5. Advertising and third parties
We set no advertising cookies: there are no advertising-network pixels and no social-network buttons on the site. The Advertising switch is there in case that changes: we would then ask for consent again, and until then it stays off. Payment happens on the payment provider side - its cookies are set on its own domain under its own policy and are not covered by this page.
6. How to change or withdraw your consent
The Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page opens the same window as the banner on your first visit: the switches can be changed as often as you like, and a withdrawal takes effect immediately. Cookies can also be deleted in your browser - in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge this is the privacy and site data section of the settings. Deleting them resets a guest cart and signs you out.
7. How long consent is kept, and contacts
We keep your choice for six months and then ask again. If the set of cookies changes, the consent version goes up and we ask again without waiting for that date. Questions about cookies and personal data: [EMAIL]. How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.
