Open sandwiches with herring and egg

Simple open sandwiches with herring, egg and onion, a quick snack for tea time or a festive table.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Hard-boil the eggs, let them cool and slice into rounds.
  2. Spread the slices of Borodinsky bread with a thin layer of butter.
  3. Cut the herring fillet into small pieces.
  4. Top each slice of bread with a piece of herring and a slice of egg.
  5. Thinly slice the onion into half-rings and scatter them on top.
  6. Finely chop the dill and sprinkle it over the sandwiches.
  7. Serve right away, before the bread softens.
