Ingredients

Method

  1. Slice onion into halves and fry in butter on medium heat until golden brown
  2. Remove onion onto a plate with paper towel to remove excess fat
  3. In a separate pot, bring water with salt to boil
  4. Add hard wheat groats and stir
  5. Cook on low heat for about 12-15 minutes until groats absorb all the liquid
  6. Remove from heat and let rest for 3 minutes
  7. Divide groats into portions, add sour cream and top with fried onion
  8. Garnish with fresh dill and serve hot
