Wheat Groat Cutlets with Mushrooms

Method

  1. Chop the mushrooms and onion, fry in half the oil until golden brown
  2. Cook the wheat groats in salted water until soft, then cool
  3. Mix the cooked groats with the fried mushrooms and onion, add egg and sour cream
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  5. With wet hands, form oval-shaped cutlets
  6. Fry the cutlets in hot oil on both sides until golden brown
  7. Place the finished cutlets on paper towels to remove excess oil
  8. Serve hot with sour cream and fresh herbs
