Rye bread pudding with raisins

A warm dessert made from rye bread, milk and raisins — a cozy way to finish lunch on a cold day.

Method

  1. Thaw the bread and cut it into small cubes.
  2. Pour warm milk over the bread and let it soften for 15 minutes.
  3. Beat the eggs with sugar until smooth.
  4. Combine the egg-sugar mixture with the soaked bread and add the raisins.
  5. Grease a baking dish with butter and transfer the mixture into it.
  6. Bake the pudding in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 30 minutes until golden.
