Method

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water with peppercorns until tender
  2. Peel the onion and slice it into thin half-rings
  3. Cut the herring fillet into serving-size pieces
  4. Peel the cooked potatoes and cut them in half
  5. Arrange the potatoes on a plate and top with the herring pieces and onion
  6. Drizzle with vegetable oil and sprinkle with chopped dill before serving
