Herring with Boiled Potatoes and Sour Cream
A simple herring lunch with boiled potatoes and generous sour cream, a classic appetizer dish.
Ingredients
- Atlantic herring fillet in oil ZIGMAS 240 g
- Potatoes 500 g
- Sour cream 150 g
- Onion 1 pcs
- Fresh parsley 15 g
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste

Method
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces of equal size
- Place the potatoes in salted water and boil until completely cooked
- While the potatoes are cooking, slice the onion into thin half-rings
- Remove the herring fillet from the oil and cut into pieces 2-3 cm wide
- Drain the water from the cooked potatoes and let them cool slightly
- Finely chop the parsley and mix it with sour cream, seasoning with salt and pepper
- Arrange the potatoes on a plate and place the herring and onion on top
- Pour generous sour cream sauce with parsley over everything before serving
