Sorrel Sauce for Fish

A creamy tangy sauce that pairs perfectly with baked or fried fish.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Drain the sorrel, gently squeeze it out, and add it to the onion.
  4. Pour in the cream and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  5. Reduce the heat and simmer the sauce for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  6. Season with black pepper to taste and remove from heat.
  7. Serve warm with fish or meat.
