Baked Apples with Rice and Nutmeg
Sweet baked apples stuffed with rice and dried fruits, flavored with nutmeg — a beloved dessert for family meals.
Ingredients
- Large apples 6 pcs
- Short-grain rice 150 g
- Raisins or dried apricots 50 g
- Ground nutmeg PRYMAT 0.5 tsp
- Water or apple juice 250 ml
- Sugar 2 tbsp
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Honey 2 tbsp

Method
- Rinse the rice under running water and pour water or apple juice over it, cook until done about 15 minutes.
- Carefully remove the core from fresh apples, leaving a thick skin on all sides.
- Add dried fruits, nutmeg, sugar, and butter to the cooked rice, mix well.
- Fill the apples with the rice mixture, placing them in a baking dish.
- Pour a little water or apple juice on the bottom of the dish to prevent sticking.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes until apples are soft.
- Let cool slightly and arrange on plates.
- Drizzle with honey and serve warm or chilled.
